Never has working in virtual teams, taken such a leap as during the Corona crisis. Whereas many companies had not taken this step before, COVID-19 forced many of them to have their employees working from home. As others understood much earlier, working remotely has many benefits like access to a larger talent pool, reduced costs of labour and offices, and less time spent on travelling.

But if your team members are based in different locations, countries or even continents, working together as a team can become quite complicated. Besides language barriers, time and cultural differences, it takes more effort to create a "team feeling" and to keep people on the right track.

This article by Gauri Sathe (on medium.com), provides various tips and tools related to working with virtual teams. Find out why it helps to often show your face online and how to get a job done on the other side of the world.

Starting to question your knowledge or abilities to understand things? Feeling more stupid or frustrated as the slides go by?...

Then you might be the victim of a "data dump": tons of slides filled up with data, making it impossible to understand the bigger picture or the broader context.

Many people have good ideas. Your friend, your colleague, your mother, your hairdresser and probably you yourself. More then once you probably found yourself talking about some revolutionary idea, with friends in a bar or with colleagues at work. You all seem to agree that you just discussed something that could actually become that BIG success you've all been waiting for.

Sorry to disappoint you on this, but your idea is worth basically nothing.

At least, that what Carol Roth claims in this article on Entrepreneur.com. Find out why your idea has no value on itself, and what it takes to convert it in success anyway.

Probably not. You are more likely to belong to the early or late majority in adopting new ideas or technologies, like 68% of the population. But perhaps you are an innovator, right there at the forefront embracing new technologies as soon as they become available, willing to risk your money or collateral damage.

This video by rare.org explains the process of how innovations spread out through society. Find out what kind of adopter you are. And how to speed up the adoption of an innovation, for example by having a local hero promote it or by creating an instinctive desire to posses it.
